The Gealon Racing Team (GRT) showcased its dominance in the cycling scene once again, securing multiple victories at the 1st Danao City Grind Fest.
The event, held in Danao City, saw over a hundred two-tandem teams competing across more than 10 categories on rugged mountain bike terrain.
In the 60 KM event for the 19-34 age category, GRT’s young stars Khyll Lequin and Junreck Carcueba emerged victorious, completing the challenging course in just 2 hours and 27 minutes.
Their performance was marked by a clear and convincing climb, followed by a sprint to the finish line.
The team’s veteran cyclists, Philip Sainz and Nilo Barbalosi, made conquering the 100 KM event under the 50-up age category look effortless.
Their impressive feat left the crowd in awe as they dominated the event.
In the 100 KM event for the 35-49 age category, seasoned riders Ramonito Espinosa and Jubilyn Labora clinched 2nd place.
Similarly, teammates Evan Rosales Laput and Rick Duques secured 2nd place in the same event under the 19-34 age category.
The Gitaruelas sisters, Lovely and Leslie, achieved a 3rd place finish in the 100 KM All Women Open Elite event.
The team continued to shine with Yotex Barex Enoya and John Eguinto also securing 3rd place in the 60 KM event under the 19-34 age category, and Jhonelle Tibay and Rico Pitogo finishing 3rd in the 60 KM event for the 35-49 age category.
Rounding out the team’s success, Sumiso Basalan and Clyde Deiparine took 4th place in the 60 KM event under the 17-18 age category.
