This achievement follows his impressive performance in the Minglanilla Trail Run in Cebu, where he clinched 3rd place in the 30 KM category, while his teammates Andy Toniacao and Markiven Revilla triumphed in the 30 KM and 15 KM categories, respectively.
Adding to the team’s accolades, Markiven Revilla continued his streak of success by claiming 3rd place in the NUTRI RUN 2024 in Talisay City.
The seasoned ultramarathoner completed the 10 KM course effortlessly, showcasing his endurance just days after his dual victories as the champion of both the 55 KM Sandugo Trail Run in Bohol and the 15 KM Minglanilla Trail Run. His consistent performance underscores his standing as a formidable competitor in the ultramarathon circuit.
Teammates Limito Caraballe Jr., his wife Fiscal Hazel, Alkin Giganto, Jeppy Lumongsod, Michael Vasaya, and Richard Celestial also delivered strong performances in the 10 KM race, finishing with impressive times and adding to the team’s overall success.
In a remarkable display of endurance and skill, Gealon Racing Team’s top runner Andy Toniacao astonished the Philippine National Trail Running Team by finishing 2nd in the 2024 Camiguin Island Trail Race.
He completed the arduous 50 KM course in 5 hours, 41 minutes, and 17 seconds, navigating the rugged terrain and natural obstacles with expertise. His performance solidifies his reputation as a leading trail runner, competing alongside seasoned athletes who have raced both domestically and internationally.
The team’s manager, Rey Gealon, expressed his joy and gratitude for the team’s outstanding achievements, praising their dedication and the divine protection that kept them free from harm or injury.
The team’s success extended to the cycling arena as well, with a dominant performance in the Criterium Cycling Race in Mandaue City. Leading the charge was GRT Head Coach Rolando “Boy Bugto” Pagnanawon, the 1986 Marlboro Tour Champion, who won the Road Bike Senior’s Category with a solo breakaway.
In the Mountain Bike Open Elite Category, Junel Marte, one of the team’s fastest young cyclists, secured 2nd place against more experienced competitors.
The Fixie Bike Category saw a clean sweep by GRT teammates, with Clark Talic, Jason Gomez, Brilz Cabriles, Andreu Ferrer, and Juvin Alivio occupying the top five positions, respectively. This exceptional performance highlighted the team’s depth and versatility in various cycling disciplines.
